This picture shows the visual effects of a storm at night on Vesleskarvet. The picture is taken through an observation dome on the roof of the base. The glow is caused by outside lights reflecting off the snow in the air.
The visual effect of the storm is a very small part of the experience. The greater part is aural, and can be compared to the sound inside a jetliner on takeoff, with the difference that it can last many days!
